The Udonite editor package sends a small, anonymous report about its own use. It exists to answer two questions: is anyone using Udonite, and which versions are still in use. Nothing is ever sent from inside a world, so players are never counted.

## When it is sent

- **Once a day per project**, after the first compile that day.
- **Once per world build**, when Udonite has compiled every behaviour and the build goes ahead. Test builds count too.

Nothing is sent when Unity runs in batch mode, so command-line builds and CI never report.

## What is sent

| Field | Example | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| `install` | `3f2c9a…` (32 characters) | A random id made the first time Udonite runs on this computer. It is not derived from your machine, account or name. |
| `project` | `8d41e0b7c2a95f13` | A hash of the project folder mixed with the install id, so two projects on one computer count as two. The folder cannot be read back from it. |
| `event` | `compile-day` | `compile-day` or `world-build`. |
| `compiler` | `2.17.4` | The Udonite version. |
| `unity` | `2022.3.22f1` | The Unity version. |
| `sdk` | `3.10.1` | The VRChat worlds SDK version. |
| `packages` | `com.udonite.net@2.3.0` | The other Udonite packages installed, with their versions. |
| `behaviours` | `10-49` | How many behaviours the project compiles, as a range: `0`, `1-9`, `10-49`, `50-199` or `200+`. |

## What is never sent

No world ids or names, no user names, no VRChat or GitHub account, no file names or paths, no source code and no error messages.

Your IP address reaches the server, as it does with any web request. It is used in memory to limit how often one address can report, and it is not stored.

## Where it goes

The report is a single `POST` to `https://api.udonite.com/usage`, the same server that runs Relay and storage. It is stored as one row per project, per day and per event, with a count. The editor does not wait for an answer, and a failed send is never retried or shown.

## Turning it off

Open **Udonite → Open Window**, go to the **Settings** tab and switch off **Usage statistics**. The switch covers every project on this computer.

Setting the environment variable `DO_NOT_TRACK=1` turns it off as well, for every tool that honours that convention.

Before anything is sent for the first time, the Console says so once, with a link to this page. Nothing is sent that first time; reports start with the next compile or build.
